Crash Course in the Creative Process

January 29, 2022
This class is for the person who thinks they aren’t artistic and says “ I can’t draw a straight line”. Creativity is a muscle we can flex, and basic drawing and painting skills can be easily learned. We are creative by nature,  but some get discouraged from doing artwork at an early age because they got frustrated trying to draw what they wanted (or were told they couldn’t draw).
In this 1 day workshop the instructor, Claire Kujundzic, will begin by warming up participants with a variety of simple, innovative drawing exercises  and then progress to some which use the right (visual, perceptual) side of the brain. The day will include basic colour mixing information, demonstrations and exercises in painting with watercolours.
Participants will be encouraged to go at their own speed. By the end of the day they will have some small studies of what they have learned during the day.

Everyone will leave having some basic art skills and more confidence in their creativity. Come and enjoy yourself and the creative process!
