Artist Biography
Diana Farrell is a native Victorian who has lived on Vancouver Island for most of her life except for brief periods spent in BC’s interior.
Primarily self-taught until retirement, Diana is now realizing her dream, pursuing her artistic endeavours, which include formal training and exploring art with like souls. Diana enjoys the challenge of creating realistic portraits with fellow artists on most Mondays at ArtPod.
Artist Statement
“I love the old, the forgotten, and less than perfect. I love investigating on roads less travelled. As an introvert, my interior life is anything but quiet. It is fraught with intensity, emotion, and details. My art is often symbolic as well as an expression of my internal circus.”
