TThe Anatomy Lesson presents a series of eight-foot-tall standing figures arranged in a circular assembly, evoking the structure of a small amphitheatre. Each figure articulates a distinct perspective on the body. By encircling the viewer, the installation positions the audience at the centre of observation, implicating them within the work and foregrounding the body as both subject and site of inquiry. The viewer is reminded of their own condition as a fragile biological organism.

The project investigates the body through layered historical and speculative references: evolutionary and preconscious forms, cave imagery, fertility figures, classical Greek sculpture, modern anatomical study and anomaly, lived experiences of aging, and projected future bodies, hybridized entities in which biology and machine converge through artificial intelligence.

The Anatomy Lesson invites contemplation of embodiment within a continuum of myth, science, history, and technological speculation. It asks what it means to inhabit a body at this particular cultural and biological moment: to stand within history, biology, and myth; to imagine a transformative future; and to consider what it means to exist now, surrounded by what has been and what is still becoming.
